Flux. Unsettlement. Change. AB7: ECLIPSE has been designed as an attempt to capture the fleeting, ominous signs of this era of uncertainty and the underlying sociopolitical, spiritual and identity rearrangements. Its main framework of cross-cultural discourse is signified by a “black lens” and aims to address our imagination by illuminating visions of potential parallel worlds and futures.
Being an event in which artists, creatives, cultural professionals and audiences from all over the world meet and interact, the Athens Biennale is now facing the inevitable. Due to the pervading public health and travel restrictions currently in force, the 7th Athens Biennale is postponed to Spring 2021.
The Athens Biennale team, the artists of AB7, its artistic director Poka-Yio and the curators Omsk Social Club & Larry Ossei-Mensah, are working towards ECLIPSE.
