The fourth companion publication for the 1st Athens Biennale 2007 Destroy Athens is a narrative. It proposes 25 passages by writers coming from a broad literary tradition, from Michael Mitsakis and Hugo Von Hofmannsthal to J. G. Ballard and Bret Eason Ellis, and from Nikos Gabriel Pentzikis and Julio Cortazar to Sylvia Plath and Giorgos Heimonas.
The passages have been arranged in six days, as many as the days of the exhibition Destroy Athens. This book is inspired by, comments on and interprets the exhibition but may also be read independently. It is a reflection, a passageway, which, like the passageways of the 1st Athens Biennale, weaves a story, creates a labyrinth and a passage.
