Same Time Tomorrow | screening
Same Time Tomorrow | A project by Tani Ilichenko and Moritz Metzner in collaboration with Campus Novel
The video will be screened in Bageion (3rd floor) during the weekend, at Athens Biennale opening hours (12:00-21:00).
The project Same Time Tomorrow features the creation of a video palimpsest of predetermined (and on purpose accidental) scenarios in relation to time and locality, open to the incorporation of random events.
The urban surroundings of Omonoia square and its periphery offer the setting for an improvised film script. Within the coordinates of unspectacular everyday life and semi-conscious media projections, the project sets forth in order to engage with the images and stories of people and places. Locations of personal and historical meaning offer the material for the development of a fictional collective narration.
* Tatiana Ilichenko and Moritz Metzner regularly work together in the field between film, performance and media art. They develop projects with a performative, site-specific, documentary and research-based approach, focusing on artistic collaboration, social factors of artistic production, process-oriented projects, urban and social experience as well as the dialectic criticism of media. Their interdisciplinary art practice is rooted in anthropology, sociology, politics and history, and remains highly personal.
* Same Time Tomorrow is now in progress. The video will be screened in Bageion (3rd floor) during the weekend, at Athens Biennale opening hours (12:00-21:00).
