from 2nd to 29th July

Hello dear listeners! Well, I hope you are cool ‘cos we here at Artwaveradio are melting due to an extreme European heatwave, but we’ve still managed to create an exciting new programme of features for you:

We start by taking you on Raderbenath’s audio journeys through  changing landscapes, made with a wild array of instrumentation, then we bring you back down to earth with talks from William Wells, Rik Reinking, Nikos Papadimitriou. In this cycle we are proud to have a rare radio outing for Loris Grιaud's performance 'CROSSFADING' which brings together separate channels of sound in a disorientating mix. But its not all experimentation… we also have our own chart, as we play extracts from Davide Bertocchis’ project ‘Top 100’ where he asked 100 curators and critics to give the title of their favourite song. Elsewhere Bobstroll keeps us entertained with his short stories of a serial artist, while MOVIMENTO SINESTETICO examine the fundamental relationship between Colour and Sound, extending the levels of perception and the opportunties for expression. Apostolos Zerdevas presents two sound pieces ‘City Noise’ & ‘War 1’, the latter being a duet between bass & washing machine. We also present entertaining selections from Maria Paschalidou's personal archive of answerphone messages, & shape shifting  musician Nick Currie (AKA Momus) presents ‘Mike Kelley, an excerpt from Plato's Cave, Rothko's Chapel, Lincoln's Profile' as his contribution to our site. Also coming up, Barbaras Straight Sons who give us a taste of their live performance & inform us that ‘Drugs are useless without TV'. Plus our resident ‘Wrongist’ Dee-jay Carlos Slazenger takes us on another Audio Obstacle Course into his world of bizarre music.

Don't forget to check the broadcasting Timezones page to find out when the programme airs in your area.
